The SIIM Research & Development Committee will present its 7^th symposium featuring 3 topics. William Boonn, MD, University of Pennsylvania, will present a progress report on his SIIM 2006 grant  project, "An Open Source Web-based Application for Radiology Decision Support." Katherine Andriole, PhD, Brigham & Women's Hospital,  Harvard Medical School, will then provide an update on the SIIM TRIP™ Initiative -- what is the current focus and what future efforts are planned. Elizabeth Krupinski, PhD, will conclude with a brief tutorial on proving equivalence in the evaluation of imaging techniques.
