Continuing Medical Education Information


Physicians
:

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essentials and Standards of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through joint sponsorship of the Society of Interventional Radiology and the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine. The Society of Interventional Radiology is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The Society of Interventional Radiology designates this educational activity for a maximum of 30.00 hours AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s). Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Technologists:

Category A CE credits have been approved by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) for the SIIM Annual Meeting Program and the Imaging Informatics Professional Symposium.

Medical Physicists:

This educational activity has been approved by the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics Education Programs (CAMPEP) to provide Medical Physics Continuing Education Credit (MPCEC) for the SIIM Annual Meeting and the Imaging Informatics Professional Symposium.

Conflict of Interest:

Presenters at this conference will disclose any conflict of interest or their intention to discuss off-label use, if applicable, in accordance with ACCME Standards and FDA requirements. Conflict of interest will be disclosed either in print or verbally at the beginning of the presentation.

Physician CME certificates may be obtained on the SIR CME website at http://directory.sirweb.org/cmeother/ beginning August 1, 2007.

Technologists and medical physicists continuing education credits letter/ certificate will be mailed to the address the attendee submitted on the SIIM 2007 meeting registration form. Please allow up to 12 weeks for receipt of confirmation letter/certificate.

How to Obtain CME Credit
All attendees who wish to receive physician, technologist, or medical physicist credit must return a Verification of Attendance Form found in the SIIM 2007 meeting evaluation booklet distributed with registration materials. Tracking numbers will be announced and displayed at the end of each educational session and attendees are responsible for recording the session number on the Verification of Attendance Form in order to claim the hours of credit that they actually spend in educational activity.

Verification of Attendance Forms must be returned to the main registration desk at the conclusion of the meeting or sent to the SIIM office within two weeks following the meeting.

  • Describe the latest results in imaging informatics research
  • Explain how important clinical problems in imaging departments are being solved
  • Interact with and facilitate feedback from the experts in the field of imaging informatics
