NOTE: The following information is for faculty notified of acceptance for the SIIM 2007 Annual Meeting.

All faculty must register for the meeting: Meeting Registration

Faculty Onsite Instructions for ALL Speakers
Upon arrival at the meeting. presenters are to proceed to the Speaker Ready Room (Meeting Room 554 A/B,  Rhode Island Convention Center) to view presentations. Speakers are requested to bring a final presentation on a portable storage device to the Speaker Ready Room 24 hours prior to presentations labeled with your name, title of presentation, and the name, date & time of session. If you are unable to provide your final presentation onsite 24 hours before your presentation, please submit to the SIIM ftp site no later than Wednesday, June 6, 2007.

Wednesday, June 6 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Presenters need to plan on using a PC PowerPoint (or similar) presentation. There will not be a Mac option, or an option for conventional slides at SCAR 2004. 
Meeting Rooms will be set with: Standard setup of podium, with podium light and microphone, laser pointer, Core 2 Duo, 2.4 GHz, 2 GB computer with monitor, LCD projector and one projection screen.

Scientific Presenters
FULL PAPER SUBMISSION TO  JDI
Each author is requested to submit a full paper of their SIIM 2007 scientific presentation via the Journal of Digital Imaging (JDI) Manuscript Central.

Papers will be peer-reviewed for publication in JDI and if accepted for publication will be listed in Index Medicus. The Journal of Digital Imaging reserves the right of first refusal.

Please submit online per the JDI Manuscript Central.

Posters and Demos
The posters and demonstrations are an integral part of the SIIM 2007 Annual Meeting program.

POSTER & DEMONSTRATION LOCATION:
Posters will be set up for SIIM 2007 in Ballroom Level Foyer, Level 5 at the Rhode Island Convention Center. Demonstrations will be set up in Room 550 A/B Level 5 at the Rhode Island Convention Center.

Please check in at the SIIM Registration Counter located in the convention center Lobby Level 3 to receive your poster or demonstration location.

INSTALLATION & DISMANTLING:
Each presenter is responsible for the installation and dismantling of their display.

Set-Up Times:
Wednesday, June 6 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Thursday, June 7 7:00 am - 8:00 am

Posters and Demos must be completely set up by 8:00 am, Thursday, June 6.

Hours of Display:
Thursday, June 7 7:00 am - 5:00 am
Friday, June 8 7:00 am - 5:00 pm
Saturday, June 9 7:00 am - 5:00 pm
Sunday, June 10 8:00 am - 10:00 am

Dismantling:
Saturday, June 9 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Sunday, June 10 8:00 am - 10:00 am

Posters and Demos must be removed from the Ballroom Foyer and Room 550 A/B no later than 10:00 am on Sunday, June 10.

Posters:
A 4' (vertical) x 8' (horizontal) tackboard will be available to display materials. Back-illumination (viewboxes) will not be available.

DEMOS:
Demonstrations will include a 3' x 6' table and electrical connection. Back-illumination (viewboxes) will not be available. Demo area will have a 4' (vertical) x 8' (horizontal) tackboard to display materials.

POSTER & DEMO SESSION:
The Poster and Demonstration Session is scheduled for Friday, June 9, 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm, and will be held in the Ballroom Foyer, Level 5. Each presenter is asked to be available to discuss his or her presentation during this time.

AWARDS:
Posters and Demos are scored for awards/prizes based on the following criteria:  scientific merit, clarity of presentation and interest to SIIM members. Awards for the best scientific exhibits will be displayed at Friday's poster and demonstration session. Prizes will be presented to recipients at the closing general session on Sunday morning. To be eligible for an award, authors are to turn in a full paper for peer-review to the Journal of Digital Imaging before or during the SIIM 2007 meeting via JDI Manuscript Central.

CME NOTICE:
Since SIIM scientific presentations are accredited for CME credit, SIIM maintains the right to actively protect that accreditation. The poster and demo session moderators will be instructed to interrupt speakers whose talk has an overt marketing bias, and to document those instances. Such documentation will be used in abstract evaluations for future SIIM meetings. To avoid this, presenters are advised to avoid all marketing logos except for an opening slide and disclose any potential conflicts of interest (if applicable).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

SECURITY:
Neither the Rhode Island Convention Center or SIIM will be responsible for loss or damage to any display or equipment for any cause.
