Welcome Reception and enjoy Providence’s WaterFire scheduled to
begin at sunset the evening of Friday, June 8. The
award-winning WaterFire is a powerful work of art involving a
fire sculpture of nearly 100 bonfires set to instrumental music
along the Providence River Walk. All meeting attendees are
invited for what is always a very enjoyable evening of collegial
relaxation and networking. Dessert and coffee will be served at
nearby Cafe Nuovo

1:00 pmSIIM members, be sure to attend
the Membership Meeting that will include the election
of 2007-2008 SIIM officers and directors and the
induction of new SIIM Fellows on Friday, June 8 at 12:00 noon.
Lunch will be served. In addition, Journal of Digital
Imaging awards for Best Paper
and Best Reviewer of 2006 will be presented. Learn about the
specific missions and activities of each of our committees and

Fun RunFriday, June
86:30 amMeet your colleagues and get in
some exercise, too! You are invited to the SIIM 5K Fun Run,
scheduled to start at the Rhode Island Convention
Center. Participants will run along a scenic route that
will include the State House, Providence’s WaterPlace Park and
River Walk, and historic Benefit Street. Everyone is welcome to
join in this early-to-rise health-promoting event. If you don’t
want to run the course, take a morning walk to start off the day
right! Be sure to register for this event early by using the
meeting registration form. On-site registration will also be
available at the meeting registration area. So…spring into action, commit
to be fit, and join in the FUN!Internet &
Member LoungesTwo areas in the Convention
Center are designated for members and attendees to gather and
network. The Internet Lounge will be available for attendees
throughout the meeting. The SIIM Member Lounge will be a place
to gather, meet colleagues, browse the SIIM Bookstore, and get
information about SIIM activities. There will also be
demonstrations of Manuscript Central, the online submission
system for the Journal of Digital Imaging
