Join SIIM in Providence!
The SIIM Annual Meeting provides a vibrant community and collegial forum for networking with peers and thought leaders in the field of imaging informatics. At SIIM 2007, you will find a comprehensive educational and scientific program that is widely considered the best in the field for those seeking professional growth, networking, and the latest knowledge and science in imaging informatics.
Formerly the Society for Computer Applications in Radiology, the Society has expanded its focus to encompass other clinical specialties that utilize the imaging sciences. In conjunction with the society's expanding role, the SIIM Annual Meeting will also grow in 2007 to include topics of interest to practitioners across the medical enterprise. As always, the SIIM meeting welcomes physicians, physicists, technologists, healthcare administrators, imaging informatics professionals, IT professionals, scientists, engineers, and anyone with an interest in this exciting field.
Of particular note this year are new featured scientific sessions, which include a combination of invited speakers and scientific abstract presentations, all related to one topic. We've also scheduled an additional general session, a "Live
Workflow Demonstration" that will highlight some of the practical issues involved with large data sets. SIIM is also offering a "virtual" facility tour of the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, and the fifth year of its highly rated pre-conference course for imaging informatics professionals.
For those who are purchasing or upgrading equipment, the SIIM exhibit hall is second-to-none in terms of immediate access to top vendors.
